Team Members

These are the hard working, heart and soul of the race team.  Together, they bring over 75 years of combined racing experience to the team.  Some of them having run successful racing teams or busineses of their own.  Their backgrounds vary, but their specialties are priceless.  We look forward to meeting you and your family at the race track, so come by and say hi to us after the races.

Dave Mantooth has raced cars since the mid 80's in the SCCA.  Dave has won 5 regional and 2 Pacific Division championships.  Dave started his stock car career in 2004 in the SRL, with cars identical to the Nascar Southwest tour.  2004 was a succesful year, running a limited schedule and building for the future.  Mantooth Motorsports is driven to have the same success in stock cars as they had in the SCCA.

Scott has over 17 years experience as an engine builder and automotive machinist.  Scott has run Scott Performance Engines (SPE) and has supplied engines to winning race programs for years.  Scott has served as engine builder and crew memebr on several different race programs.  Some of the more notable SPE accomplishments are; a three time Lake Tahoe unlimited class and Trans-Tahoe endurance jet boat champion, several NHRA class and track championships, and a national event qualifying top fuel dragster.  Scott joined the team in 2004 as engine specialist.

Returning for his 6th year, Jonas DeLaMater is our rock and our "go to" guy. He has a vast mechanical background and experience. We are stoked to have him back again this year.
